ART INFORMATION

Commissions

-  Every commissioned piece is a collaborative endeavor between myself and the client. Clients have the flexibility to approach me with a well-defined vision, specifying the desired size, shape, color palette, and crystal elements they envision for the piece I will create for them. Or, we can engage in a collaborative process to determine the perfect elements that will harmonize with their intended space, whether it be a residential, commercial, or public setting.

This collaborative approach ensures that each commissioned artwork is a unique and personalized creation, tailored to the client's preferences and the intended environment. By working closely together, I can capture the essence of the client's vision and translate it into a stunning resin masterpiece that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal, but also resonates with the energy and ambiance of the space.

- The final product may not always mirror the commission sketch precisely, but part of the beauty of resin art is the element of surprise and uniqueness that each piece embodies.

- Cost for commissioned work is dependent on size, complexity, type of crystals, and number of crystals.

- A deposit of 50% is required to start a commission. The remaining 50% is due upon completion and before shipping.

- The smallest size for a geode moon commission is approximately 22" wide by 32" tall. Cost starts at $350 and goes up from there based on size and crystals used in the artwork.

Resin Art

- Please keep in mind each piece of art is handmade by myself and may have minor surface variations, such as fine bubbles, ripples, or small particles that inadvertently became embedded within the resin during its 24-72 hour drying process. These subtle characteristics are inherent to the handcrafted nature of the pieces and do not detract from their unique beauty.

- Edges are finished to give a wrap around look, unless otherwise noted or requested.

Hanging

- Some of the pieces and all moons DO NOT come with hardware attached. Especially for moons, this is to allow the client to determine the perfect tilt or angle for their space.

- It is recommended that the client hire professional services for the hanging of all artwork.

- Monica Terry Art cannot be held liable in the event that improperly hung art results in damage or injury.

Care for Artwork

- Crushed glasses are used in the artwork and can be very sharp. Be sure to wear appropriate gloves while handling textured surfaces.

- Resin surfaces can be easily be scratched or marred. It is recommended to clean the surface with water and/or a microfiber cloth. Avoid using chemical based cleansers. Use a microfiber duster or non-residue compressed air to remove dust from textured areas.

- The resin used in creating my art is formulated with integrated UV inhibitors, ensuring that your piece maintains its pristine, crystal-clear appearance. However, it is essential to remember that prolonged exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent gradual discoloration or fading over time.
